Strömbergshyttan of Hovmantorp, Småland, Sweden, was founded by Edvard and Gerda Strömberg and began production in 1933 at the Lindefors glassworks.

The original factory was destroyed by a fire in 1973, and after reconstruction was acquired by Orrefors in 1976, who subsequently closed it in 1979.

During its history, it has employed many famous Scandinavian designers.
