Toni Raymond Pottery

The Toni Raymond Pottery was established in 1951 in Torquay, Devon, by designers Toni and Raymond Smith.

One of their successful lines at this time was the 1950s-style flying ducks; this fact was recorded in their logo. The pottery produced tableware, storage jars and figures in earthenware with bright, hand-painted motifs.

By 1954 they had formed a partnership with Geoff and Barbara Hiscock and by 1967 they had subsumed the Babbacombe Pottery and began trading as the Toni Raymond Pottery Group.

In 1986 Philip Laureston Smith (son of Toni and Raymond) bought Toni Raymond Ltd from his parents and merged it with his business, Laureston Designs.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Legacy Antiques will be closed from 25th January for the foreseeable future. I hope to reopen in around mid-February but at this time I cannot confirm a date.

During this time, the online store will remain open for browsing but products cannot be added to cart or purchased.
