This is a highly attractive small posy vase or potpourri pot by Jersey Pottery.
The piece is approximately cylindrical in shape, with a large central hole on the top encircled by a ring of eight smaller holes. The piece is hand-painted with three broad bands of colour – light green, orange and olive green – superimposed upon which are overlapping thin black lines in diamond shapes and broader dark bands. This gives the impression of a stylised drum. The top and underside of the base are white; the latter is marked with the words ‘JERSEY POTTERY’ and the initials ‘A.I.’ hand-painted in black.
It has a height of approximately 7.5cm and a diameter across the rim of about 8.7cm. The large central hole has a diameter of about 3.0cm and the smaller holes are about 0.7cm each.
It has an unwrapped weight of 210g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
