This is a classic Grecian-style ceramic flower urn or vase produced by Wedgwood.
The vase has an everted rim and an elongated tapering body. This is moulded with a raised ridged pattern on the exterior. It stands on a round plinth-like base.
The interior and exterior are glazed in black.
The underside is impressed with what I believe is ‘7 M 62 WEDGWOOD’, although this is quite hard to discern.
It has a height of approximately 20.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 13.2cm and across the foot of about 10.4cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 530g.
It is in good condition, although there are a few tiny flakes of glaze missing around the edge of the foot. This wear is only visible on close inspection but is reflected in the price. The glaze on the lower half of the interior is lighter than the top half, but I’m uncertain whether this is wear or a manufacturing flaw. This is not visible when on display.
