Jersey Pottery Ovoid Posy Holder with Hand-Painted Design in Brown and Black

This is a simple yet elegant design for a posy holder by Jersey Pottery.

The posy is approximately ovoid and has a central band, which is in various shades of brown with an abstract design formed by overlapping circles in black glaze. The upper part has two sets of five holes immediately opposite each other. There is also a large central hole.

There is a small, unglazed foot rim, within which are the words ‘Jersey Pottery C. I.’ freehand in black glaze, and an asterisk.

It has a height of approximately 9.0cm.

It has an unwrapped weight of 180g.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
