This is a stylish ceramic flower vase produced by Cinque Ports Pottery of The Monastery, Rye.
The vase is bottle-shaped with a flared rim, a cylindrical neck and a mallet-shaped body. The exterior is streaked with a reddish-brown glaze, which has a metallic finish. The lower part is decorated with an abstract wax-resist concentric circle design.
The base is marked with two concentric circles and the words ‘CINQUE PORTS POTTERY LTD THE MONASTERY RYE’.
It has a height of approximately 22.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the base of about 10.3cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 780g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
