This is a set of six stunning high-quality lead crystal rummers or goblets. maker unknown but probably dating to the 1920s or 1930s.
The capacious bowl is cut just below the rim with a band of thumb cuts, which is bordered above and below by a thick circumferential wedge cut. Below this is a wide panel cut with a complex design consisting of overlapping diamond-shaped cuts, which are multifaceted where they overlap. The stem has a low rounded ball knop and the foot is wide and star cut. The latter is unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.7cm, with a diameter across the bowl of about 9.0cm and across the foot of about 7.5cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
The liquid capacity to the brim is around 375ml (per glass).
They have an unwrapped weight of 1890g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there may be the odd wear and tear scratch commensurate with age.
