This is a good quality Belgian glass side or vegetable plate from the ‘Louisette’ suite by Val. St. Lambert.
The plate is ‘kidney’ shaped, with flattened ends. The inner curve allows it to be butted up to a dinner or luncheon plate for the serving of a side dish or vegetable accompaniment to a main course. The underside of the plate is marked with the letters ‘VAL’.
In addition, it bears the original label which reads ‘MADE IN BELGIUM’.
The plate has a maximum length of approximately 19.3cm and a width of about 11.7cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 460g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
