This is a high-quality Belgian lead crystal bread and butter or side plate from the ‘Louisette’ suite by Val. St. Lambert.
The plate is circular and plain apart from a raised foot rim on the underside. The latter is marked with the letters ‘VSL’.
In addition, it bears the original labels which read ‘MADE IN BELGIUM’ and ‘VAL ST LAMBERT BELGIUM DEPOSÉ’.
It has a diameter across the rim of approximately 20.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of around 490g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, having never been used.
