This is a simple yet elegant set of four lead crystal lager glasses produced by Thomas Webb and dating to the 1930s to 1940s.
The elongated flute is of tapering form and sits on a plain, discoid foot. The lower third of the bowl is cut with a band of twelve (12) elongated facets with curved lower margins.
The foot is marked in the centre with the words ‘WEBB MADE IN ENGLAND’. This mark was in use between 1935 and 1949.
Each glass has a height of approximately 20.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.3cm and across the foot of about 8.8cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 360ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 1040g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl commensurate with age and use.
