Large Hand Thrown Pottery Flower Vase with Ringed Body and Abstract Glaze

This is a simple but elegant pottery flower vase with a contemporary design.

The vase has a broad, flared rim, which merges with a short, rounded shoulder. Below this, the body tapers in gradually as it approaches the base. The majority of the body of the vase is ringed, which gives it a gently undulating profile. The interior and exterior are glazed in a pale stone grey shade, over which is applied an abstract brushwork motif in a brown glaze.

The vase sits on a solid, plinth-like base, which is un-glazed on the underside. It is unmarked.

It has a height of approximately 31.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 11.9cm and across the base of about 10.0cm.

It has an unwrapped weight of 1260g.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
