This is a stylish lead crystal ice bucket, designed by Frank Thrower for the ‘ShuggyBar’ range produced by Dartington Crystal.
The ice bucket has a thick, galleried rim, which steps in to form the cylindrical body. This sits on a thickened, cylindrical plinth-like base. The latter is plain and unmarked.
The body is moulded with a slightly twisted, vertically ribbed pattern.
It has a height of approximately 13.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 14.7cm and across the base of about 8.7cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 880g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches to the underside of the base commensurate with use.
