This is a pair of good-quality wine glasses from the ‘Norfolk’ suite produced by Wedgwood.
The cylindrical bowl has a thickened base that tapers down into the short stem. The bowl is cut in its lower half with a series of twelve arched petal cuts. The foot is plain and quite thick. They are unmarked.
The glasses have a faint yellow tint, which is probably due to an imbalance in the glass mixture. They are also a little uneven in places. I believe that they may be of ‘seconds’ quality.
Each glass has a height of approximately 11.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.7cm and across the foot of about 5.7cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 175ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 320g.
They are in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are one or two fine wear and tear scratches to the bowls commensurate with age.
