This is a pair of high-quality cut lead crystal sherry glasses from the ‘Warwick’ suite by Thomas Webb.
The bucket-shaped bowl is cut with a pattern consisting of seven five-pointed fans alternating with seven vertical wedge cuts, which surmount a lattice consisting of three rows of interlocking crosses. The base of the bowl is cut with a series of six panels that extend down onto the stem. The foot is star cut and marked at the edge with the words ‘THOMAS WEBB ENGLAND’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 13.3cm, a diameter across the rim of about 6.3cm and across the foot of about 6.1cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 100ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 310g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
