Whitefriars Glass Knopped Bud Vase No. 9485 in Twilight

This is a nice example of a mid-century bud vase produced by Whitefriars Glass.

The elongated bowl is broadly cylindrical, tapering into a globular knop. There is a short stem beneath the knop and the domed foot. The piece is made from ‘twilight’ coloured glass.

This vase has the pattern number 9485 and features on page 17 of the 1964 Whitefriars catalogue.

It has a height of approximately 26.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 2.8cm and across the foot of about 6.0cm.

It has an unwrapped weight of 160g.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some faint marks in the bottom of the vase commensurate with age and use.
