This is a set of four highly attractive sherry or port glasses dating to around the 1960s to 1970s.
The bowl has a rounded upper portion, tapering in towards the thickened base. The rim is decorated with a thick band of gilding, and two large sprigs of three gilded leaves emerge from the base of the bowl. They sit on a fine circumferential band of gilding. Below this the bowl merges with the tapering stem and plain foot. They are both coated in a layer of gilding, although this is worn on some stems and feet.
Each glass has a height of approximately 11.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.2cm and across the foot of about 4.9cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 100ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 230g.
They are in good condition, with no chips or cracks, but as previously mentioned the gilding is quite worn in places. This can be seen in the pictures and is reflected in the price.
