This is a high-quality lead crystal claret wine glass from the ‘Olivia’ suite designed by Frank Thrower for Wedgwood Crystal.
The conical bowl is plain and merges with the long, straight stem. There is a small collar at the junction of the stem and the slightly domed foot. The latter is plain and unmarked.
This piece is made in the ‘Midnight’ grey colourway.
It has a height of approximately 22.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.0cm and across the foot of about 7.7cm.
The glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 240ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 190g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
