This is a classic example of a piece designed by Frank Thrower for Wedgwood Crystal.
The tall bud vase is hexagonal in section with a wide, galleried rim. It is marked on the base with the word ‘WEDGWOOD’. In addition, it bears the original plastic sticker that reads ‘WEDGWOOD LEAD CRYSTAL ENGLAND’.
The vase has the pattern number FJT6/1. It is the smallest of the ‘Brutus’ range and is made in ‘Midnight’ grey-coloured glass.
It has a height of approximately 16.1cm, with a maximum distance across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the base of about 4.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 260g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
