This is a nice example of a posy vase or potpourri holder from Purbeck Gifts of Poole, Dorset.
The posy vase is of flattened globular form, tapering in towards the base. It is decorated on one side with a large transfer-printed design consisting of stylised flowers and a scrolling pattern in blue, turquoise, yellow and grey. There is a small floral sprig on the opposite side.
The base is transfer-printed in black with the words ‘PURBECK GIFTS POOLE DORSET MADE IN ENGLAND’.
It has a maximum height of approximately 6.7cm, with a diameter across the aperture of about 5.2cm and across the base of about 5.8cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 200g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
