This is a fine example of a sugar bowl from the ‘English Rose’ range, designed by Reginald Thompson and produced between 1977 and 1982 by SylvaC.
The rounded bowl is moulded on the exterior with a stylised petal design and is glazed in pastel green. The base has a circular unglazed rim, which shows the underlying ceramic body to be white in colour. Within this are the impressed words ‘SYLVAC MADE IN ENGLAND’ and the number ‘5410’.
It has a height of approximately 5.5cm and a diameter across the rim of about 10.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 180g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although the glaze is finely crazed.
