This is an unusual high-quality lead crystal wine goblet from the ‘Newport’ suite by Stuart Crystal.
The bucket-shaped bowl tapers in towards the thickened base. The straight stem has an enclosed ‘air-twist’ in the form of four elongated bubbles arranged in a double-helical pattern. The foot is plain and unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 16.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 9.4cm and across the foot of about 7.9cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 290ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 430g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there may be the odd wear and tear scratch to the bowl commensurate with use.
