This is a set of six high-quality cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses from the ‘Walsingham’ suite by Tudor Crystal.
The bucket-shaped bowl tapers in towards the thickened base. It is cut with a band of four large crosses, the upper and lower limbs of which come into close approximation. Within the diamond-shaped panel formed between adjacent crosses is a further small cross cut. The centre of each large cross is bisected vertically by an elongated wedge cut.
The bowl sits on a plain, waisted stem, which merges with the plain, flat foot. The underside is marked in the centre with the words ‘TUDOR ENGLAND’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 8.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.4cm and across the foot of about 4.3cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 35ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 450g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
