This is a set of four coloured small wine glasses dating from between 1870 and 1880.
The U-shaped bowl is made from green glass and sits on a small, flint glass collar. The stem and foot are plain; the latter bears the remains of a tool mark in the centre.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.3cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.3cm and across the foot of about 6.0cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 100ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 390g.
They are in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is an odd enclosed bubble or piece of frit from the manufacturing process. There are also some wear and tear scratches to the bowls and feet commensurate with age and use.
