This is a set of four sherry or port glasses, maker unknown and probably dating to the early 20th century.
The rounded bowl has a thickened, machined rim, and is machine-etched with a central crenellated design formed from three overlapping lines. This is bordered above and below by a pair of circumferential wavy lines.
The stem is moulded to form six facets, and tapers in slightly as it approaches the plain, flat foot. The latter bears the remains of two mould lines on the upper surface but is polished flat on the underside. They are unmarked.
They are made from soda glass.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.8cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.3cm and across the foot of about 5.5.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 70ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 250g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
