This is a pair of high-quality lead crystal brandy glasses from the ‘Compleat Imbiber’ suite designed by Frank Thrower for Dartington Crystal.
The rounded bowl widens out and merges with the short, cylindrical stem. This then flares out to form the small discoid foot that is slightly domed underneath. Each glass is marked in the centre of the foot with the Dartington ‘D’ logo.
The glasses come in their original Dartington Crystal box.
Each glass has a height of approximately 10.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.2cm and across the foot of about 6.3cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 225ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 460g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the bowls commensurate with use.
