This is a set of five nice quality but low-lead crystal sherry glasses imported by Jaffe Rose from Czechoslovakia and probably dating to the 1960s to 1970s.
The elongated bowl is cut with three sprigs of stylised foliage. The base of the bowl is thickened and merges with the plain, tapering stem. The latter merges with the plain, flat foot.
Each glass bears the original black and off-white paper label, which reads ‘JAFFE ROSE HAND MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 12.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.5cm and across the foot of about 5.4cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 90ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 300g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
