This is a high-quality glass scent bottle or perfume atomiser produced by the Royal Brierley Studio in the latter part of the 20th century.
The atomiser has a squat, globular body that tapers towards the thickened base. The latter is polished flat and faintly etched with the words ‘ROYAL BRIERLEY STUDIO’.
The piece appears to have a white core, over which is a flint (clear) glass layer and an outer mottled or marbled blue layer. It has a satin finish.
The glass portion is topped with a gold-coloured metal atomiser and black fabric-covered atomiser bulb and stalk. This fabric is slightly worn in places with a few marks from use.
It has a maximum height of approximately 10.3cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 210g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although as previously mentioned there are a couple of minor marks on the fabric from use. There is also some tarnishing to the metal, commensurate with age and use.
