This is a charming example of a festive Christmas plate produced by Walther Glas of Germany.
The charger or platter is round with a scalloped rim. This is frosted on the underside and decorated with pairs of bows at intervals. There is a central stylised house motif within a wintery scene, which is flanked by trees and with a stylised horse-drawn sleigh in front.
The plate bears the original red and gold sticker, which reads ‘MADE IN GERMANY FABRIQUE EN ALLEMANGE ORIGINAL WALTHERGLAS’.
It has a diameter across the rim of approximately 38.0cm.
