This is a highly attractive retro serving plate from the classic ‘Spanish Garden’ range by Midwinter.
The plate is oval in shape and is transfer printed around the rim with a stylised floral design in blue and green. The underside of the base is marked in black with the words ‘SPANISH GARDEN DESIGNED BY JESSIE TAIT MIDWINTER FINE TABLEWARE STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND SHAPES DESIGNED BY THE MARQUIS OF QUEENSBERRY’.
It has a maximum length across the rim of about 34.5cm and a width across the rim of about 28.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 1000g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches to the glaze commensurate with use.
