This is an attractive and unusually shaped bud vase by Jersey Pottery.
The body is a conical shape on a pedestal base but flares out to form a wide everted rim. The decoration is formed by different shades of green glaze over a pale base. The upper part of the vase is streaked. Towards the base, there is a banded pattern, which is divided into four with thin black vertical lines. Between adjacent lines, these bands appear to sweep downwards in a ‘v’ shape. The pedestal base is glazed in olive green. The interior and underside of the base are glazed in off-white.
The underside of the base is moulded with the words ‘JERSEY POTTERY C I’.
It has a height of approximately 16.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.8cm and across the base of about 8.2cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 340g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
