This is a very stylish piece of Hornsea from the ‘Stripes’ range dating to the mid-1980s.
The sugar bowl is approximately cylindrical in shape, stepping in at the base. The body is white and is decorated with a band of vertical red stripes. On one side it is printed with the word ‘SUGAR’. The base is plain and marked in the centre.
This is a popular Hornsea design that was only in production for two years, from 1984 to 1986. This is an example of the highly collectible red and white version.
It has a height of approximately 6.7cm, a diameter across the rim of about 8.0cm and across the base of about 7.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 170g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
