This is a high-quality lead crystal flute champagne glass dating from the turn of the Regency to the Victorian era.
The elongated trumpet-shaped bowl has an everted rim and is cut in the lower two-thirds with eight tapering facet cuts. These extend down onto the globular knop as facets. The edge of the knop is then cut with eight facets that are staggered with respect to those above. There is a short cylindrical section before it terminates in a star-cut discoid foot.
It has a height of approximately 17.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.3cm and across the foot of about 6.6cm.
It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 130ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 130g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches to the inside and outside of the bowl. There is also a blemish on the inside of the glass where there is a small piece of frit or a blob of glass. Finally, the foot is not entirely flat so the glass does have a little wobble if moved.
