This is a classic example of a decorative glass vase produced by Mdina Glass of Malta and dating to the late 1970s or early 1980s.
The vase has a cylindrical body, a short neck and a wide everted rim. The body is made from streaked red glass, over which is randomly applied blue glass strapping.
The base is polished flat and hand-engraved with the word ‘MDINA’.
It has a height of approximately 14.6cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 7.7cm and across the base of about 7.1cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 570g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
