This is a nice example of a mass-produced glass rummer, probably dating to about 1880.
The rummer has been made in a three-part mould. The design consists of a vertical panel, made up of a large olive above four squares in relief, and bordered on either side by a deep groove. This design repeats nine times in total around the bowl. The stem is of low baluster form and is moulded with six ‘facets’. The foot is plain and bears three mould lines.
It has a height of approximately 15.0cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.7cm and across the foot of about 8.2cm.
The liquid capacity to the brim is around 280ml.
It has an unwrapped weight of 520g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the bowl and some enclosed air bubbles.
