This is a highly unusual example of a bottle of perfume from the British manufacturer Goya.
The white glass atomiser spray bottle has a silver lid and is printed with the words ‘JUBILEE 1977 THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE’. The bottle is unopened and comes in the original plastic box.
The card insert within the box reads ‘JUBILEE LIMITED EDITION FRAGRANCE SPRAY FROM GOYA INTERNATIONAL THE ENGLISH PERFUME HOUSE. JUBILEE PERFUME HAS BEEN SPECIALLY CREATED TO CELEBRATE THE FIRST 25 YEARS OF THE REIGN OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II AND THE FIRST 40 YEARS OF THE HOUSE OF GOYA.’
Unopened bottles such as these are very hard to come by. This specimen has come from the private collection of the late Mr Ernest (Ernie) Joyner, who was the chief chemist at Goya for many decades.
The box has a height of approximately 13.2cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 170g.
It is in excellent, unopened condition.
