This is a highly unusual example of a bottle of perfume from the British manufacturer Goya and dating to the 1940s.
The box is completely unopened and is still in the protective outer casing and brown paper. The inner box can be seen, and there is a paper label on the exterior which reads ‘PASSPORT ONE ONLY ROYAL FLACON GOYA PARIS LONDON NEW YORK’. This same label is also attached to the outer paper layer.
Early bottles such as these are very hard to come by. This specimen has come from the private collection of the late Mr Ernest (Ernie) Joyner, who was the chief chemist at Goya for many decades.
The box has a height of approximately 12.3cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 280g.
It is in excellent condition, having never been opened.
