Dartington Crystal ‘Rye’ Design One-Pint Tankard DR1431 c.2000

This is a nice example of a large lead crystal tankard from the ‘Rye’ suite produced by Dartington Crystal at the turn of the 20th to 21st century.

The tankard is of tall, cylindrical form with a slightly everted rim. It sits on a broad, discoid base. The latter is plain and unmarked.

The handle is hollow and has a broad upper attachment and a curled lower attachment.

It has a height of approximately 14.4cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 10.6cm and across the base of about 10.0cm.

It has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 700ml.

It has an unwrapped weight of 820g.

It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
