This is a lovely example of a glass serving plate from the ‘Regency Gold’ range, introduced in 1972 by Chance Glass.
The dish has a fluted, gilded rim; the remainder is printed with an intricate, scrolling design reminiscent of ‘Damask’ style fabrics.
This motif was the most expensive design to produce due to the extensive coverage of the pattern.
It has a diameter across the rim of about 24.6cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 360g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the underside commensurate with use. There are also some dark spots within the design, which may be manufacturing flaws or could be wear. This blemish is reflected in the price.
