This is a high-quality cut lead crystal posy vase or pot, probably Bohemian in origin and dating to the latter half of the 20th century.
The piece is of short cylindrical form and is made from a thick layer of flint glass encased in a layer of dark blue glass. This is overcut with two circumferential mitre cuts above a lattice of cross-cut diamonds. The base of the lattice is overlapped slightly by a ring of oval cuts. The base of the glass is thickened; the underside is coated in blue glass and overcut with a large star cut. It is unmarked.
It has a height of approximately 8.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 8.3cm and across the base of about 8.6cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 290g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
