This is a stunning example of a piece of Czechoslovakian art glass dating to the Art Nouveau period.
The vase has a cylindrical upper portion with an undulating rim formed from three lobes. It tapers in slightly and then sweeps out to form an elongated baluster-shaped body. This is decorated with three applied trails in blue that taper in as they approach the base of the vase.
The body is made from green glass with a bronze-like iridescent finish to the exterior surface. The trail is made from iridescent blue glass with a tarnished gold finish.
The base is plain with a central partially polished pontil.
It has a height of approximately 21.3cm, with a maximum width at the rim of about 9.1cm and a diameter across the base of about 8.5cm. It has an unwrapped weight of 510g.
The vase is in fair condition for its age, although there are a few small chips to the trail at the base of the vase. The largest is 1.0cm at its longest point. There are also some burst bubbles in the linear portions of the trail. This damage is reflected in the price.
