This is a set of five high-quality cut lead crystal liqueur or cordial glasses, probably British in origin and dating to the end of the 19th century.
The rounded bowl is cut with a matte intaglio ‘Greek Key’ design just below the rim. The stem is plain and merges with the plain, flat foot. The latter is unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 8.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 4.3cm and across the foot of about 4.7cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 31ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 230g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few scuffs below the rim on some glasses that are a result of the cutter slipping with the polishing wheel. These are part of the history of the glasses and do not detract from them in any way.
