This is a set of six high-quality moulded lead crystal small wine glasses from the ‘Longchamp’ suite produced by Cristal d’Arques of France.
The bowl has a thickened base and is moulded with a pattern of recessed diamonds. This is surmounted by a band of nine wedge-shaped depressions that extend up towards the everted rim. The bowl tapers in and merges with the stem, which is moulded to give the appearance of two rows of cut pyramids. Below this, the stem is hexagonally faceted. The foot is plain and unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 16.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.4cm and across the foot of about 6.4cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of about 180ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 1570g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
