Riihimaën Lasi Oy (Riihimäki) Glass Flower Vase No. 1581 in Red

This is a striking, classic example of a decorative flower vase produced by Riihimaën Lasi Oy (formerly Riihimäki) with pattern number 1581.

The vase has a short neck which widens out as it approaches the shoulder. It then tapers back in as it approaches the thickened base. The latter is plain and unmarked.

The vase is made from red glass encased in a layer of clear glass.

It has a height of approximately 18.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.6cm and across the base of about 7.4cm.

It has an unwrapped weight of 470g.

It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is the odd wear and tear scratch to the body commensurate with age.
