This is a highly attractive and versatile flower bowl or vase from the ‘All Seasons’ collection produced by Dartington Crystal in 2000.
The bowl has a capacious hemispherical upper portion, which tapers in and merges with the flared base. The latter is thickened and unmarked.
The glass is moulded with a vertically ribbed pattern, often referred to as ‘optic’.
This piece has the pattern number VA145, and the ‘All Seasons’ range was new to the 2000 Dartington catalogue.
The vase is a contemporary take on the traditional rose bowl but offers a range of purposes, such as floating blooms or candles, or displaying a mass of blooms.
It has a height of approximately 16.1cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 19.8cm and across the base of about 8.7cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 920g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are some wear and tear scratches to the glass commensurate with age and use.
