This is a charming pair of juice tumblers, produced to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s silver jubilee in 1977.
Each tumbler has a bulbous upper portion, tapering in towards the cylindrical lower half. The base is thickened and unmarked.
On one side of the piece, it is transfer printed with ‘E II R’ and surmounted by a crown. There is a dark gold banner encircling this, which reads ‘THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE 1952-1977’.
These glasses come in their original box, which is printed all over with the Union Flag. They were imported by ‘Calipso Roast’.
Each glass has a height of approximately 10.2cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 6.6cm and across the base of about 4.8cm.
Each glass has a liquid capacity (to the brim) of 200ml.
They have an unwrapped weight of 260g.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
