Set of Four Late Victorian Olive and Pillar Cut Small Tumblers
For a full product description, see below.
This is a nice example of a set of four small tumblers or tot glasses, probably British in origin and dating to around 1870.
The tall cylindrical shaped bowl has a thickened base and is cut in its lower half with a series of five elongated pillar cuts with curved upper and lower margins. Between each of these is a smaller pillar cut topped with an olive cut. The base is polished flat and unmarked.
Each glass has a height of approximately 9.9cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 5.3cm and across the base of about 4.4cm. There may be minor discrepancies in the dimensions due to the handmade nature of the glasses.
They are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, although there are a few wear and tear scratches to the bowls and bases.
