This is a charming contemporary studio pottery decorative bottle vase produced by Wayne Galloway of Scotland.
The vase is of bottle form, with an everted rim and long, tapering body. The upper portion is glazed in white with a crackled raku finish. The lower portion is matte black with an abstract, flecked, shiny finish.
Similar vases from this range can be found at the Spronson Gallery in St. Andrews.
The bottom edge is chamfered, and the base is flat. The edge is impressed with a stylised W mark, which is attributable to Wayne Galloway.
The vase has a height of approximately 16.5cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 2.3cm and across the base of about 5.0cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 190g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
