This is a nice example of a ceramic cream jug, maker unknown but probably dating to the early-to-mid 20th century.
The jug is glazed in shades of green over a cream base. In some areas the thickened glaze has a ‘rough’ finish, giving the appearance of tiny bubbles, presumably meant to represent sea foam. It rests on two legs and the rear of the shell, the bases of which are unglazed.
It is unmarked.
It has a maximum height of approximately 7.3cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 150g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
