This is a nice example of a ceramic coffee cup from the ‘Powder Blue’ suite, originally designed by Moorcroft for Liberty & Co.
The body is cylindrical and has a small handle that sits just below the rim. It is glazed on the exterior in a mottled blue, and the interior in white., although there is the odd smudge of blue glaze on the interior.
The base is impressed with the words ‘MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND’.
It has a height of approximately 5.8cm, a diameter across the rim of about 5.9cm and across the base of about the same.
It has an unwrapped weight of 100g.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
