This is a nice example of a miniature vase produced by SylvaC and dating to the 1970s or 1980s.
The vase has a slightly everted rim and tapering body. The moulded design consists of concentric ridges bordering a band at the shoulder decorated with an impressed wavy line and raises bosses. The interior and exterior are glazed in brown.
The base has an unglazed rim, which shows the underlying ceramic body to be white. Within this are the impressed words ‘SYLVAC ENGLAND’ and the number ‘4786’. This pattern was in production between 1971 and 1982.
It has a height of approximately 7.7cm, with a diameter across the rim of about 5.2cm and across the base of about 4.3cm.
It has an unwrapped weight of 120g.
It is in good condition, with no chips or cracks, although there is some fine crazing to the glaze.
